It had taken a great amount of vigorous discussion with her mother, but at last Liara had been allowed to return to Fandom. She had not expected to want to do so, at least at first - but several months back had reminded her of all the things on Thessia that made her uncomfortable.

It had also left her missing Yeul and Karolina both.

Of course, it wouldn't be Fandom without being-- well, Fandom, and so she had been somewhat perturbed to be redirected to the ferry when she'd arrived at the island early in the morning. But she had taken it in stride (to a certain degree) and now she was unpacking in her room. Her next class would be soon, according to the schedule. Her unpacking moved quickly as a result.

At least she had been able to bring a few changes of clothes with her, this time around.

Liara leaned up and pressed a kiss to the corner of Karolina's smile. "I know," she said. "It is one of my favorite things..."

"Is it?"

Well, that smile just went wider.

"Mm. What are some of the others?"

Liara laughed softly. "Your kindness," she said, and kissed Karolina's smile again. "The light you shine whenever you enter a room - it is breathtaking."

Way to make Karolina go all flustered and flushed.

"I... didn't know I did that." Except when she was literally shining, obviously. That was different. "That might be the, um, the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me."

Liara ducked her head. Now she felt faintly ridiculous. "I... You're welcome."

Karolina chuckled and brought her hand up to brush against Liara's jaw. "Hey, it's okay," she murmured. "It was just new. But I liked it."

"Okay," Liara said softly. "I could still blame it on the separation, I suppose."

She reached up to touch Karolina's arm.

"Don't worry, I'm willing to blame a lot of things and... thoughts, on the separation," Karolina admitted with another little chuckle. Those were coming a little more often than usual. "It's okay."
