2nd floor, Room 18, Monday Morning

It had taken a great amount of vigorous discussion with her mother, but at last Liara had been allowed to return to Fandom. She had not expected to want to do so, at least at first - but several months back had reminded her of all the things on Thessia that made her uncomfortable.

It had also left her missing Yeul and Karolina both.

Of course, it wouldn't be Fandom without being-- well, Fandom, and so she had been somewhat perturbed to be redirected to the ferry when she'd arrived at the island early in the morning. But she had taken it in stride (to a certain degree) and now she was unpacking in her room. Her next class would be soon, according to the schedule. Her unpacking moved quickly as a result.

At least she had been able to bring a few changes of clothes with her, this time around.

"It was as it had been when I left it," Liara said.

Now it was her turn to take Karolina's hand, tugging her towards the bed. "My mother had been worried. She knows that I am here now, and has consented to let me stay for a time."

"That's great!" she enthused as she followed along easily, giving Liara's hand a little squeeze. "I mean, not that she'd worried. The other part. The part where it's okay for you to be here. I wouldn't want her to worry."

So babbly.

"She is still somewhat concerned," Liara admitted, sitting down. "But... I prefer the island to my school on Thessia. For..."

She smiled another tiny smile. "...a variety of reasons."

[solarhippie]

Karolina plopped herself down next to her, still hand in hand.

Her smile wasn't all that tiny. "Well, I'm glad you do. Really glad. I missed you."

Liara's smile broadened without her say-so, and she pressed her forehead against Karolina's shoulder, hiding her face. "Did I miss anything?" she asked.

"I don't think so," Karolina replied with a little shake of her head, smiling down at her even if she couldn't see it. "I was the TA in a class about roller coasters. That... is really about it, I think."

"Sounds... peaceful," Liara murmured. "You must have been bored."

[solarhippie]

"Maybe a little," she replied, now lightly resting her head against Liara's. "But not all the time. And I visited LA for a while too, and that's never boring."

Even when you wanted it to.

Liara opened her eyes and glanced up at Karolina's face. "I see you neglected to mention that when I asked you what had happened," she noted, more knowing than chastising. "What happened?"

[solarhippie]

Karolina shrugged her shoulder. The other one.

"Nothing that interesting?" she offered. "I mean, nothing unusual. There were bad guys, and we took care of it."

"Okay," Liara said quietly. She straightened up. "As long as you are fine."

[solarhippie]

"I'm fine," Karolina promised with a little smile. "I'm super. Especially now that you're back."

That at least dispelled the serious look from Liara's face. She reached out to tuck some of Karolina's hair back behind her ear. A little awkwardly, perhaps.

"Good," she said.

[solarhippie]

A little awkward was just par for the course. They'd had a pretty lengthy separation and everything. Karolina didn't mind.

She just smiled. Then leaned in for another little kiss.

Liara relaxed immediately. Kissing Karolina still made something in her stomach do a double somersault, but it was a welcome, familiar type of acrobatics.

She slid her hand down to cup the back of Karolina's neck and kissed her back.

Oh, that was nice. It sent a little shiver down her spine.

The obvious reaction was to keep kissing, while carefully putting her hand down on Liara's thigh. For support. Clearly just for support.

Right.

Ah. So that's where her leg had gone. Good job on Karolina for finding it and making Liara so aware of it.

She made a soft noise against Karolina's mouth to communicate that. Her fingers tentatively skimmed up and down along the back of Karolina's neck.

It was a pretty long neck, so there was more than enough room for that. And for sending more little shivers down her back, which in turn made her fingers curl a little more firmly along Liara's leg.

She was just making sure it was still there! And it was. Very much so.

Liara released a soft whimper. It took her a moment, but once she realized that had come from her, she flushed - in as much as anyone of her complexion could. "Sorry," she mumbled.

She wasn't sure what for.

"What for?" Karolina murmured with a chuckle. Because someone had to ask. "I liked it."

Even if saying that made her blush a little. And with her skin, it really showed.

Liara ducked her head. "I... honestly don't know," she admitted. "I... this is nice."

A pause.

"Very nice."

Goddess. She'd forgotten how many of her words she just casually forgot when Karolina came into the picture.

[solarhippie]

"Yeah," Karolina agreed with another little chuckle. "Very nice."

She traced the shape of a simple flower against Liara's thigh. Just something simple and fun, and still the action alone made her feel something akin to that somersaulting stomach thing.

Liara blew out a breath. "Now you are doing it on purpose," she said, half-accusing.

Half-very much not.

She touched Karolina's shoulder and stretched up again to kiss her anew. The various reactions in her body were odd and worthy of the occasional-- she was not going to say flail-- and she wanted more of them.

And here Karolina had just been about to protest against the accusations. Oh well, guess not. Guess she had to content herself with more kissing. Such a hardship.

Only not at all. Not when it had her heart racing a bit.

Liara found herself drifting backwards one kiss at a time - and suddenly she found herself wishing to know what the rest of Karolina would feel like if they laid down--

...though that seemed a little too presumptuous, still.
